Glenn Metalcraft Inc. remains one of the few metal spinning companies to create and adopt a management system based on the ISO9000 quality standards. The company first achieved registration to ISO9002: 1994 in fiscal 2000. An employee-managed steering committee has continued to evolve the quality system and upgraded our registration to ISO9001: 2000 during fiscal 2003.

Other continuous quality improvements driven by the steering committee have included project quality planning, cost of quality reporting, use of Six-Sigma tools in decision making, the introduction of lean manufacturing initiatives to the production floor, design and realization of process and workflow studies, and oversight of the statistical process control program.

Inspection efforts on the manufacturing floor are supported by a FARO Gold articulating measurement arm accurate within +/-.002 up to 8-foot diameter parts, an SPC software package, and a fully equipped inspection department.
