Glenn Metalcraft is well-equipped to handle your requirements, from the raw material, laser cutting, forming, welding, to a painted finish. We provide both powder coating and e-coating painting options on these assemblies.

We currently provide a single source solution to the transportation industry for upper couplers. Currently, each customer has specific requirements for the welding of the component parts. The goal of Glenn Metalcraft is to provide an easy option for our customers for upper couplers.

Grade 50 steel – Grade 80 steel

Specific requirements can be provided upon request. For example, if you require a pre-heat of the king pin prior to welding, GMI can accommodate your needs. GMI can also provide any pin requested based on current supply chain. GMI uses robotic welders for consistent welds and sustainable throughput. Most all dimensions are available with our current robotic cell configuration. Minor adjustments may be required to existing GMI-owned fixtures to accommodate any rail pattern requested.
